DECADE is Scott Fawcett's course management system: lessons on strategy, stats tracking, and custom yardage books. GolfCore is a golf GPS with free yardages, green maps, modeled wind and a free Shot Tracer on iPhone. Which fits depends on whether you want a course management curriculum, or live yardages, scoring and stats in an app you play with.
DECADE and GolfCore do different jobs, and they work together: learn the strategy with DECADE, and play the course with GolfCore's yardages, green maps and wind.
GolfCore publishes this comparison of its own product, with DECADE's details read from its own website on October 8, 2026.
DECADE teaches course management. Its memberships combine lessons on strategy with stats tracking that builds from the Tiger Five to strokes gained putting and penalty shots, entered through its quick DECADE 5 system or full GPS-style entry, and include custom yardage books each month.
GolfCore is the app you play with: live GPS yardages to the front, center and back of every green, a scorecard on the map, and a round recap with fairways, greens in regulation, putts, sand saves, up and down and penalties. Premium adds green maps, modeled wind and a caddie's read on any shot.
GolfCore does not teach a strategy system or calculate strokes gained.
