SkyCaddie is a golf GPS maker whose SkyCaddie Mobile app runs on maps that its mappers walk and verify on the ground. GolfCore is a golf GPS with free yardages, green maps, modeled wind and a free Shot Tracer on iPhone. Which fits depends on whether you want green reading and wind in the phone app, and whether you play with an Apple Watch.
SkyCaddie lists Premium at $29.99, and its maps are walked on the ground. GolfCore puts green contours and modeled wind in the phone app itself, runs on the Apple Watch, and adds a free Shot Tracer on iPhone.
GolfCore publishes this comparison of its own product, with SkyCaddie's details read from its own website on October 8, 2026.
SkyCaddie Mobile is SkyGolf's golf GPS app. Its maps are ground-verified: SkyGolf sends trained mappers to walk each course with professional GPS equipment. The free Basic plan includes scoring, and Premium, at $29.99 after a 30-day trial, adds the green's shape, up to 40 targets per hole and manual shot tracking.
GolfCore gives every golfer the map, yardages to the front, center and back of the green, and the scorecard at every course. Premium adds green maps scanned from elevation data, with contour lines and arrows along the fall line, and wind modeled over the hole from the trees and ridges around it.
GolfCore also traces your swing videos: film a swing or pick one from Photos and it draws the ball flight on the video, free and with no limit on iPhone.
